Candles in the “New” Jewish Cemetery in Piatra Neamt — when I visited here in 2006 (when these pictures were made) I wasn’t able to get to the Old Jewish Cemetery, which I remember from my 1991 trip there as one of the most impressive I had seen: massive stones straggling up a steep hill and silhouetted against the sky.
