Candlesticks in Chmielnik, Poland

 

Only a few gravestones are left in the Jewish cemetery of Chmielnik, Poland, but most of them seem to be candlesticks-bearing markers  of women. The cemetery has been restored, with fencing and a monument, as part of a broader town project involving the restoration of the synagogue and opening there of a Jewish museum.
